This is an oil painting landscape workshop in Pawlet, VT. We meet Tuesday thru Friday for en plein air painting and critiques, and on Saturday for an indoor critique.

Take Route 30 to Pawlet
turn on to Route 133 North (to Middletown Springs)
follow rte 133 for 1.8 miles (rte 133 bends left at 1.3 miles)
turn left on to Andrus Drive
park on the right side, off the road, and find a suitable place to paint (please don’t set up too close to the horse pasture)
Thomas Torak is a modern master painter working in the classical tradition. His paintings are known for their breadth and luminosity, rich color and lively brushwork. In the fall of 2008 he was hired as an instructor of portraiture and figure painting at the Art Students League of New York. His paintings have been recognized with the American Artists Professional League Medal of Honor and their Newington Award, the Audubon Artists Gold Medal of Honor, the Allied Artists of America Silver Medal of Honor, the Academic Artists Gold Medal and their Honor Award for Oil, and the AAPL Frank C. Wright Medal of Honor. He is represented in the permanent collections of the Art Students League of New York and the Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, LA.
